To some extents, I agree with what Confucious said, that is; "before someone embark on a journey of revenge, he should dig two graves.."
The first grave is for his enemy and the rest is for himself.

Between the Peace and the War

I think, a half part of the so-called religion has its own spirituality; since it brings solace, strength, good morality, love and serenity to every Soul who is in the garment of human flesh. .

And the rest part of the so-called religion may have its own political force; that is why in some occassions it could generate some wars, disputes and intolerances among human beings.

And I think it is only wisdom that is needed to bring a haven of peace on Earth.

New Things, New Methods

New situations always require new structures.
A new job requires us to learn, new skills.
A new relationship often requires new ways of relating.

What are my old things?
Old ways of thinking?
Old habits?

They could be outdated ways of acting, or talking, or responding that worked well in the past but aren't useful or helpful anymore nowadays.

A Night Piece

The Tyranny of Majority

Normality and reality are merely a matter of consensus. That is, a lot of people think something is right, and so that thing becomes right. The truth is not necessarily the right or wrong, but it's the one that supports the desires of majority. I think, there is nothing worse than being enslaved by the tyranny of majority and losing someone's freedom of Soul.

Abandoned

As we were growing up, we sometimes realized that our real selves, who we really are, were disappointing and unacceptable to the people we depended on for care and affection. As a result, they could never give us a secure sense of belonging. Becoming someone other than our real selves was the only option for some people. So we became what other people wanted or needed us to be. But in the process we began to abandon our real selves. After a while we, in effect, stopped knowing our real selves. Why? to keep from feeling abandoned by the people we hoped would know us best and love us most. And finally, giving up the Soul into a prison without wall. A prison of pleasing others..

Power of Mind

Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room. One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon to help drain the fluid from his lungs. His bed was next to the room's only window. The other man had to spend all his time flat on his back. The men talked for hours on end. They spoke of their wives and families, their homes, their jobs, their involvement in the military service, where they had been on vacation.

Every afternoon when the man in the bed by the window could sit up, he would pass the time by describing to his roommate all the things he could see outside the window.

The man in the other bed began to live for those one hour periods where his world would be broadened and enlivened by all the activity and color of the world outside.

The window overlooked a park with a lovely lake. Ducks and swans played on the water while children sailed their model boats. Young lovers walked arm in arm amidst flowers of every color and a fine view of the city skyline could be seen in the distance.

As the man by the window described all this in exquisite detail, the man on the other side of the room would close his eyes and imagine the picturesque scene.

One warm afternoon the man by the window described a parade passing by.

Although the other man couldn't hear the band - he could see it. In his mind's eye as the gentleman by the window portrayed it with descriptive words.

Days and weeks passed.

One morning, the day nurse arrived to bring water for their baths only to find the lifeless body of the man by the window, who had died peacefully in his sleep. She was saddened and called the hospital attendants to take the body away.

As soon as it seemed appropriate, the other man asked if he could be moved next to the window. The nurse was happy to make the switch, and after making sure he was comfortable, she left him alone.

Slowly, painfully, he propped himself up on one elbow to take his first look at the real world outside.

He strained to slowly turn to look out the window beside the bed.

It faced a blank wall. The man asked the nurse what could have compelled his deceased roommate who had described such wonderful things outside this window.

The nurse responded that the man was blind and could not even see the wall.

She said, "Perhaps he just wanted to encourage you."

Epilogue:

There is tremendous happiness in making others happy, despite our own situations.

Shared grief is half the sorrow, but happiness when shared, is doubled.

If you want to feel rich, just count all the things you have that money can't buy.

"Today is a gift, that's why it is called the present."

The origin of this letter is unknown, but it brings good luck to everyone who passes it on.

What Saves a Soul

What saves a Soul is to take a step then another step. It is always the same step, but you have to take it. Anyone can carry his burden, however hard, until night fall. Anyone can do his work, however hard, for one day. Anyone can live sweetly, patiently, lovingly, purely, till the sun goes down. And this is all life really means.

We have been through the years together. For good times, for bad times. Happiness, sorrow, misunderstands, mistakes, forgiveness, hardworks, failures, success.. They were as a matter of course in gaining strenght of our friendship.

We have learned that good friends are hard to find, harder to leave and impossible to forget. And we know that we can only go as far as we push..

The New Things

Time has been passing by so fast. Things have changed, much different with the remain years before. New people, new place, new experiences in new circumstances, new crazy rules, and some other new strange things.

Every new atmosphere and novelties sometimes are liable to be the so-called good remedy for each wound from the past. It might leaves out the shadows of your haunted nightmares. But the new one could also be such as blast of bugles during the silence night. And I suppose it wouldn't be fun at all, above all for soul who had gotten along with a sequence of familiar chains and prone to be enjoy being involved within: one's safety zone. Somehow inadaptability might become the real enemy itself, a hidden foe that need to be conquered.

Honestly, I must admit, I am one of those having this battle these days. May the new things also bring some new lucks (I hope).
